Planet Fitness on Memorial Drive Now Open
The newest local workout facility is in the former Save-A-Lot grocery space.
Planet Fitness on Memorial Drive has opened.
The facility, which opened up last week, is around 17,000 square feet and has more than 100 pieces of cardiovascular equipment. The former Save-A-Lot grocery store at 5211 Memorial Drive in the Stonemont Village shopping plaza was completely overhauled to accommodate the new workout space.
The Memorial Drive Planet Fitness is one of the latest big gyms to open up locally. L.A. Fitness in Stone Mountain in Gwinnett County recently opened and an L.A. Fitness at Panola Road and Covington Highway is slated to open in mid-February.
