New Big Lots Donating Funds to Lithonia School

Stoneview Elementary School will receive a check when the store opens next week.

Big Lots will kick-off the opening of its new store in Lithonia with a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring executives and local officials Friday, Oct. 4 at 9 a.m.

During the event, Big Lots district manager James Garrett will present $1,500 to Stoneview Elementary School. Ledra Jemison will accept the check on behalf of the school.

“For more than forty years, Big Lots customers have relied on us to bring them a one-of-a-kind shopping experience filled with brand-name merchandise at a price they can appreciate. We are thrilled to now be able to offer that same great value and convenience to Lithonia shoppers,” said John Martin, a Big Lots vice-president.
