Patch: How long have you owned and operated Kids R Kids #10?

Sunita and I have owned Kids R Kids #10 since 2002. We were in search for a Pre-K program that would really prepare our kids for elementary school and were not able to find anything that we like. At the same time, we were looking for a business and coincidentally we ended up buying this business.

Patch: Why was this particular location appealing?
Patel: This location was the closest to our house. This was the first time we were buying a business like this and so we decided to get a franchise so we can get support.  Kids R Kids International has been there every step of the way for us. This particular location was more attractive to Sunita and me since, it was much smaller and we felt that would give us the best opportunity to cater to each family personally.

Patch: What has been the most challenging part of running your business so far?

Patel: Most challenging part of running any business is always finding great employees. We have been fortunate to have a great team and each of our teachers truly put their best effort forward in caring, loving and teaching the children in our school. They are every day heroes.

Patch: What has been the most rewarding experience?

Patel: The most rewarding part of this business has been the opportunity to meet many families and care for their children. It seems any time I am out in the community be it shopping or at the park or just driving around I am always running into the children that we have had in our school. Last week, we were at my daughter's eighth grade graduation and awards ceremony for Trickum Middle School, there must have been over 25 names called that we have had to privilege to have in our care. That is a great feeling.

Patch: What's the best business advice you've ever heard?
