1. Academic data coach, , 10 months

Salary: $34,863.85 to $79,929.60

About the job/qualifications:

  • the job is a one-year position funded through the use of Title I funds.
  • the academic data coach will make sure student achievement data drives the instructional decisions at the classroom and school level. 
  • the coach provides support for elementary, middle or high school teachers in Title I schools in core classes
  • Bachelor’s degree from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university required. Prior coaching experience is preferred.
  • minimum of three years classroom teaching or closely related experience is required.

2. Day porter, Stone Mountain, permanent full time

Salary: $7.75/hour

About the job/qualifications:

  • restroom sanitation, dusting and mopping, disposal of trash cans; mopping floors and securing facilities
  • candidate must pass background check and drug screen
  • 6 months cleaning experience

3. On-location photographer, Lithonia/Conyers/Covington, seasonal

Salary: $150/day

About the job/qualifications:

  • Must have strong photography, (Mac) computer, communication and organizational skills
  • Must be outgoing, dependable, detail oriented, and patient.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to work an average of 2 days per week. Occasional overnight travel is required.
  • Must be bondable, agree to a background check and drug testing.

Thursday, August 9, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., Stonecrest Library, 3123 Klondike Road

Jobs Bus

The Mobile Career Center -- known as the Jobs Bus --isn't scheduled to stop at Hairston Crossing, Stone Mountain-Sue Kellogg or Redan-Trotti this week, but it will be at the following libraries nearby: 

Tuesday, August 7, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.: The bus comes to the Covington Library in unincorporated Decatur, 3500 Covington Hwy. The bus has 13 computer stations and high-speed satellite Internet connection. People can get job search assistance, resume writing help and more

Wednesday, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m., The bus will be at Tucker-Reid Library, 5234 LaVista Road, Tucker.
