How Local Gas Prices Fluctuated in October
By Halloween, the lowest reported gas prices were 22 and 20 cents cheaper, respectively, in Stone Mountain and Lithonia, than at the beginning of the month.
The lowest-priced gas reported in Stone Mountain was about 22 cents per gallon cheaper at the end of October than at the beginning of the month, with a few spikes in between, according to information provided by motorists to Georgiagasprices.com
In Lithonia, the cheapest-priced gas was down 20 cents by the end of the month.
Stone Mountain beat Lithonia for the lowest gas prices reported throughout October.

AAA expects gas prices to come down through the end of the year, with Hurricane Sandy having only a small impact. Gas prices tend to drop in November, because "refineries are producing less expensive winter-blend gasoline," the organization reported on its website.
