Groundbreaking is Friday for New Stone Mountain Walmart
The retailing giant will build the store on Memorial Drive near N. Hairston Road.
Walmart will break ground on its new store in Stone Mountain this Friday, July 27, from 11 a.m.- 12 p.m., at 5945 Memorial Dr., company spokesman Glen Wilkins said.
The store will be built near the intersection of Memorial and N. Hairston Road.
Walmart officials have said the 152,000 square foot store, will create about 300 jobs. The location will include a grocery component, deli, fresh produce, pharmacy and garden center but no Tire and Lube Express.
