Happy Wednesday! Here are five things to know as we get a little closer to the weekend:

The weather: There’s a 10 percent chance of rain today, the high is expected to reach 91 degrees. Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low of 70 degrees.
Today in Georgia history: On this day in 1860, according to information from the Georgia Historical Society, the Atlanta City Council passed an ordinance prohibiting residents from throwing water, dirt, and trash from their windows and doors.
Grocery store deals: Got the munchies? Today is your last day this week to get buy-one-get-one free Cheez-It Baked Snack Crackers at your Stone Mountain-area Publix stores. Kroger ends its four-day sale today, in which Stone Mountain stores are participating, on buy-one-get-one free items such as half gallons of Kroger brand milk and Mayfield Classic ice cream.
