Fat Headz Diner Closes

The restaurant only opened last March.

After about four months in operation, Fat Headz Diner is no more.

"We lost one business. Fat Headz Diner closed its doors," said Main Street Stone Mountain executive director Susan Ryles during an otherwise encouraging report at the city council's work session Monday about continuing efforts to drum up more business, community and arts activity to the city.

The restaurant's doors have been shut and its outdoor tables and chairs haven't been set up for a few weeks. The phone number to the diner is out of service. Patch has sent e-mails and left phone messages for owner Rodney Walker but has received no response as of posting time of this article.

The last update on the Fat Headz Facebook page is from July 31, Georgia primary election day, reminding people what time the voting polls and the restaurant opened. This past Sunday, a former patron posted on the page: Hey what happened to you guys! Thishas become my favorite breakfast spot and it seems as if you are closed up for good?

Fat Headz moved into the spot previously occupied by t. The location is the former site of Mama Mia's in Stone Mountain Village.
