CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) in Stone Mountain Village

A new service in the Village that might interest you………..

A group of us are interested in organizing weekly delivery from a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), and the particular one we are looking at, for several reasons, is Moore Farms.

This works as follows:

Interested in local real estate?Subscribe to Patch's new newsletter to be the first to know about open houses, new listings and more.

Moore Farms buys seasonal produce from a collective of small family farmers and food producers.  They then pack boxes of fresh produce - $20 and $30 boxes, and you can choose one or neither each week.  You also have the option of their on-line market, and for a packing fee of $5.00 you can choose your own items.  They have many items other than produce, too – including my favorite, Greek yogurt!

There is an annual membership fee of $30, which is included in your first order.  This is a really good deal if you compare with other CSAs.  I have already used Moore Farms, and would be delighted to have a pick-up spot in Stone Mountain Village.

  •     -  The suggested pickup spot is the Village Corner/German Restaurant
  •     -  We need a minimum of 20 participants in order for Moore Farms to deliver to this location
  •     -  Their website is www.moorefarmsandfriends.com - check it out!
  •     -  The probable pick-up date will be Thursdays – late afternoon
