Bites Nearby: The Best Pizza Around

Pizza Cafe serves other things, but you gotta try the pizza.

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out.

Here is this week's choice:

STONE MOUNTAIN PIZZA CAFE

Once a week it's pizza night for our family, and I don't feel a bit guilty about that. How else can you get all food groups in one gooey, chewy, tasty slice? And our place of choice is Stone Mountain Pizza Cafe. It's a kid-friendly place, and there's a bar and television sets (with NFL football on the 60 inch HDTV) for grownups. Or you could just watch the pizzas being hand-thrown in the kitchen.Β

The pizza comes in two sizes, 12 and 16 inches, and extra thick crust is an option. Or you can order it by the slice. The restaurant serves other traditional Italian dishes, including pasta and calzone, but also wings and sandwiches.Β
