Why go: Come here the retired NFL great discuss and answer questions about college and professional football days. Autographs will be signed upon request.

Stone Mountain Village Art Stroll and Merchants Open House

When: Saturday, Jan. 12, 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Where: ART Station, SMart Inc. art galleries in Stone Mountain Village and local businesses.

Who’s this for: Art lovers and small business supporters

Why go: Check out local artists' creativity (and maybe buy some of their work!), visit other Village businesses, mingle, nibble on light refreshments, and chat.

How much: Free. Pick up special “passports” from ART Station for some nice privileges through the evening.

Winter Cocoa Walk

When:  Sunday, Jan. 13, 8-11 a.m.

Where: Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve, 3787 Klondike Road, Lithonia

Who’s this for: Anyone interested in bundling up and taking a walk, warm drink in hand (bring your own travel mug).

How much: Free.

Sweet Potato Cafe First Anniversary Celebration

When: Friday-Sunday, Jan 11-13

Where: Sweet Potato Cafe, 5377 Manor Drive

Who’s this for: Everyone, especially fans of the restaurant.

Why go: Enjoy the festivities for the business’s milestone, including live music on Friday; an author book signing and karaoke on Saturday; and Sunday brunch. See the attached PDF for the complete list of weekend events.
