Why go: Learn about the history and culture involved in Hispanic cooking, and sample some yummy fare, at this free event which is part of a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration. Note: Please call or visit branch to register (770-482-3828). Open to the first 20 participants.

When: Saturday, Sept. 15, 2-4 p.m.

Why go: It's a touching movie and this is a free event the whole family can enjoy.

Walk & Wine

When: Saturday, Sept. 15, 6-8 p.m.

Where: Stone Mountain Old Post Office Emporium, 5379 E. Mountain St, Stone Mountain

Why go: Before and during the Art Stroll (below) help the Old Post Office Emporium welcome fall with a little food and drink. The store will also have special sales.

Art Stroll

When: Saturday, Sept. 15, 7-9:30 p.m.

Where: Stone Mountain Village art galleries, Main Street

Why go: Meet and greet the new artists and see the brand new gallery space and enjoy the existing galleries at this free and fun event. Light refreshments will be available.
