Fall into Fashion Accessories Show

When/Where: Friday, Aug. 19, 7 p.m.-10 p.m., Center Town Gallery, 951A Main Street, Stone Mountain

Why Go: Sailor Studio and T.Lee Art and Design are having their second fashion accessories show at the Center Town Gallery to show off their latest jewelry and handbags. There will be giveaways, entertainment, hors de'oeuvres and wine.

Why Go: ART Station will have a photography portfolio presentation by Gwinnett Technical College. Hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Old Town Lilburn Merchants Association and The Little Shop Of Arts And Antiques Birthday Bash

When/Where: Saturday, Aug. 20, 4 p.m.-8 p.m., Old Town Lilburn, Main Street, Lilburn.

Why Go: Barbara Barth, the owner of The Little Shop of Arts and Antiques, and Antiques in Old Town owner Hugh Wilkerson are celebrating their birthdays by having a big bash and raising funds for Animals Actions Rescue. Live music and light refreshments will be available for guests to enjoy, and a screening of “The Find,” the seven-minute 48 Hour Atlanta Film Project that was filmed on Main Street, will be aired throughout the day.

Pricing: Free, but donations are encouraged.

Smart Trivia at Bailen’s Pub

When/Where: Thursday, Aug. 18, 5 p.m., Bailen’s Pub, 865 Indian Trail Lilburn Road, Lilburn.

Why Go: Get those thinking caps on and head to one of Lilburn’s newest bar establishments, Bailen’s Pub. Every Thursday the pub will host smart trivia, where the categories include sports, music, pop culture, movies and more.

Dancehall Meets Soca

When/Where: Friday, Aug. 19, 9 p.m.-4 a.m., Flames Sports Bar, 2671 Centerville Highway, Snellville. 

Why Go: Enter a night of island jams, calypso and soul. Pak Entertainment, Exmedia and Flames Sports Bar & Grill will combine a night dancehall and soca music with multiple DJs, including Father Dre, One Drop and Gyaliss International.

Pricing: $10 cover.

The Little Black Dress

When/Where: Saturday, Aug. 20, 4 p.m.-7 p.m., Nicole Instyle Boutique, 3983 Lavista Road, Tucker.

Why Go: Every girl needs that little black dress in her wardrobe to just slip on to a last-minute gala and feel sexy without any effort. Nicole Instyle Boutique is showing gals how they can dress up and accessorize those dresses so you never wear it the same way twice. Giveaways, door prizes, a raffle, appetizers and drinks will be available to guests.

“Rango” for Movies on Main

When/Where: Saturday, Aug. 20, 8 p.m., the lawn of the First Baptist Church of Stone Mountain, 5306 Mimosa Drive, Stone Mountain.

Why Go: Movies on Main continues in the Village this weekend with “Rango,” starring Johnny Depp as a friendly, animated lizard. Bring a lawnchair, the kids and a picnic basket and enjoy the flick.

AARF Massage Workshop

When/Where: Sunday, Aug. 21, 1 p.m.-2 p.m., AARF Pet Central, 6570 James B. Rivers Drive, Stone Mountain.

Why Go: Bring your dog to learn basic massage techniques for pampering and showing your pup some love. Guests will have 30 to 45 minutes for a one-on-one time for massaging their dog and 15 minutes for questions and comments. 

Pricing: $20. Attendees can purchase tickets online here or pay when they go. 

Kidsignments

When/Where: Thursday, Aug. 18, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. and Friday-Saturday, Aug. 19-20, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Gwinnett County Fairgrounds, 2405 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville. 

Why Go: Known as the "Superbowl" of consignment sales, Kidsignments is back at the Gwinnett Fairgrounds with more than 1,000 vendors. Get gently used clothing, furniture, toys and more for your kids at super low prices. Most items will be 25 percent off Friday and 50 percent off Saturday.
