Welcome to Patch, Lithonia!

Notice anything different? We hope so - and we hope you’re as excited about Stone Mountain-Lithonia Patch as we are!

As of today, we are officially expanding our coverage to include the greater Lithonia area and changing our name to Stone Mountain-Lithonia Patch!

Over the past several weeks, you may have noticed that we've increasingly included Lithonia news on our site, from our daily cheapest gas prices feature, to new businesses, to restaurant health inspection scores and the crime blotter.

Patch users are also uploading events happening at venues in Lithonia to our calendar.

We’ll continue to feature the latest news and information from both the wide-ranging areas of Stone Mountain and Lithonia.

Because many of our users live in Stone Mountain, but work, shop, enjoy the outdoors, worship, eat and otherwise spend time in greater Lithonia, it was just good common sense to build on our existing coverage area.

Plus, who doesn’t want to know what’s going on just a few miles away?

Don’t worry: We'll still offer the same coverage of everything happening in Stone Mountain-Redan, which went into parts of unincorporated Lithonia. But now we’ll be on top of the things that matter to residents of the overall Lithonia area, too. As always, if you have any suggestions for stories, let us know!

Some things are staying the same: you can still contribute to our site by blogging; uploading photos and videos of your community events to our Pics & Clips gallery; adding an upcoming event to our calendar; sharing accomplishments, job promotions, school and sports awards and more on our Announcements page; and commenting on articles.

So feel free to spread the word about our name change and our expanded coverage, and we thank you for reading Stone Mountain-Lithonia Patch!
