Motorcycle Show
When: Saturday, Sept. 22, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; judging begins at 12:30 p.m.
Where: Chick-fil-A, 5542 Memorial Dr., Stone Mountain
Why go: Not only will there more than a dozen customized motorcycles to look at, you can vote for your favorite. First and second place winners get a prize.

Seminar with Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation
When: Saturday, Sept. 22, 2-5 p.m. (reception is from 2-3 p.m.; lecture, 3:30-4:30 p.m.; book signing 4:30-5 p.m.)

Why go: Come hear Queen Quet Marquetta L. Goodwine, who worked with a number of entities including the U.S. Congress and U.S. National Park Service to get the “Gullah/Geechee Cultural Heritage Act” passed. It was signed into law by President Bush in 2006. She was elected and installed by her people to be the first Queen Mother.
Reading With Rover
When: Saturday, Sept. 22, 12-1 p.m.
Where: Stone Mountain-Sue Kellogg Library, 952 Leon St., Stone Mountain
Why go: Designed for children ages 5-8, Reading with Rover gives young readers the opportunity to practice reading for Bogey, a trained therapy dog.
