Lewis Grizzard: In His Own Words

When: Friday, Jan. 18, 8 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 19, 3 and 8 p.m.; Sunday, Jan. 20, 3 p.m.

Who's this for: Lewis Grizzard fans for sure, and mature theater-goers.

Why go: Critics and Lewis Grizzard fans have praised this show -- and actor Bill Oberst, Jr. in the title role -- which has been to ART Station for the past eleven seasons, playing to sold-out audiences.  There have been 850 shows across the U.S. over a ten-year period.

Why go: If you haven't seen "Madagascar 3" yet, bring your kids to the library to enjoy an afternoon flick.

The Power of Music and Poetry

When: Saturday, Jan. 19, 2-3:30 p.m.

Where: Stonecrest library, 3123 Klondike Rd., Lithonia

Who's this for: Families

Why go: Listen and learn about the connection between music and poetry through a youth discussion and other activities.

Interpretive and Recreational Hiking with Ranger Robby

When: Sunday, Jan. 20, 8-11 a.m.

Where: Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve, 3787 Klondike Road, Lithonia, 30038.

Who's this for: Those who can take the hikes which are moderate and last 2-3 hours. Probably not good for little kids.

Why go: Dash through the snow!
