Proposed Memorial Drive Walmart: Retailer Asks to Defer Process Until January

Representatives for the retailer will meet with Pride Rings in Stone Mountain (PRISM) next week.

Walmart says it needs more time to meet with community and neighborhood groups about its before continuing with DeKalb County's review process.

The county planning commission agreed, recommending on Tuesday to defer the matter until January.

The retailer's plan is to return to the planning commission in early January, then to the Board of Commissioners' meeting a few weeks later, said Dan Hillman, representing Walmart.
