• Hands On Atlanta Day is Saturday, October 6. Local DeKalb County schools including and elementary schools in Stone Mountain as well as Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve in Lithonia are listed as participants on Hands On Atlanta's site.

• needs family literacy tutors in Stone Mountain and Clarkston. These volunteers work with a refugee parent tutoring English and are also a "crucial link to American culture," according to the web site. RFS will provide orientation, training and resources.
