Stone Mountain Easter Egg Hunts

Kids, grab your baskets for this traditional Easter activity!

On the hunt for that traditional Easter activity this weekend? Here are local Easter egg hunts that are chock full of fun activities for kids:

1. What: The Annual Easter Egg Hunt, , Stone Mountain.

Location: Mainstreet Community pavilion.

Date/time:  Saturday, April 7, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. 

Details: The egg hunt is being sponsored by 87th District Georgia State Rep. Michele Henson and CEO Burrell Ellis.  The festivities include: Egg Hunt, Musical Chairs, 3-Legged Race, Spoon Race, and Sponge Game Race. Prizes will be awarded.  Refreshments will be on sale from the Mainstreet Concession Stand to benefit the Scholarship Fund.

2. What: "Easter Egg-travaganza" provided by DeKalb County Commissioner Stan Watson.


Date/time: Sunday, April 8, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Egg hunt at 2:30 p.m. for ages 6 and under
  • Egg hunt at 3:15 p.m. for children ages 7 to 10.

Details: Have the kids meet Georgia State mascot "Pounce" and
activities such as face painting, jumper play areas, snacks, games/activities, prizes, and Easter treats.

3. What: Easter Egg Hunt

Location: , 2201 Young Rd, Stone Mountain, 30088.

Date/time: April 7, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Details: Easter egg hunt, mini drama presentations and treats at Berean Christian Church. These activities will be followed by Easter service at 12 p.m.

4. What: Wells Brown House Old Fashioned Easter Egg Hunt (note: for members only)

Location: 1036 Ridge Avenue, city of Stone Mountain.

Date/time: April 8, 3-5 pm, snacks served.

Details: Children, grandchildren, or children special to you are welcome. There will be an Easter Bonnet Parade with prizes for adults and children.  If you're not a member, you can join at the event.
