Monday Essentials: Golfers, New Footballers, Grant Seekers

Join DeKalb County CEO Burrell Ellis and the Board of Commissioners Tuesday, July 16 at 8:30 a.m., to kick-off a new partnership to benefit those who are struggling to make their mortgage payments, and possibly facing foreclosure. 

DeKalb County's high schools will present their new football teams during the annual Media Day at Clarkston's Hallford Stadium; Wednesday, July 17, at 4 p.m.  

Open Lab for Job Seekers: expanded time to conduct job searches, fill out online job applications, update your resume using Word 2007, Optimal Resume or Job & Career Accelerator and improve work skills with online tutorials. Wednesday, July 17: 10 a.m.—Noon. The DeKalb County Human and Community Development Department-Human Services Division is accepting grant applications for the General Fund and the Victim Assistance Fund. An information briefing will be held Wednesday, July 17, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Decatur Library Auditorium, 215 Sycamore Street, Decatur. 

Friday, July 19, is the deadline to register for the Ralph Gabrielson Annual Memorial Golf Tournament being held July 27 at the Stone Mountain Golf Course.
