MARTA Bus Service Changes Today

Several MARTA bus route changes go into effect today, April 21.

Below is information about a local route that will affected. From the MARTA website:

Route: 117 - Rockbridge Road/Panola Road

Days affected: Weekdays, Saturdays & Sundays

Service change description: Service will be temporarily realigned to operate to/from the GRTA Panola Road Park and Ride via Left-Minola Drive, continue Fairington Road, Right-Wal-Mart Drive, Left-West Fairington Parkway, loop and return along West Fairington Parkway, Right-Panola Road, Left-Minola Drive into Park and Ride instead of as currently operated to eliminate a potentially hazardous turn from Panola Road onto West Fairington Parkway. This temporary realignment will be presented at MARTA's next scheduled Public Hearings to receive customer input prior to implementation as permanent routing. Trip times will be revised to accommodate the service modification and improve schedule adherence.
