Internet Class, Children's Programs at Stone Mountain-Area Libraries This Week

New weekly Patch feature highlights events at Stone Mountain-Sue Kellogg; Redan-Trotti; and Hairston Crossing.

Three DeKalb County libraries that serve the Stone Mountain area offer a range of fun and educational activities throughout the year for all interests and age groups – absolutely free. Who doesn’t need that these days?

Whether you decide to check out a book, browse the library catalog or search the Web, there’s always something to keep you occupied and informed at Redan-Trotti, Stone Mountain-Sue Kellogg, and the newly reopened Hairston Crossing

All DeKalb libraries are gearing up for the Summer Reading Program, so there may not be as many offerings as usual until after the school year ends in late May. Here’s a look at some happenings going on this week:

Stone Mountain-Sue Kellogg:
Wednesday, April 27, 2011:
•    Internet Basics, ages 18 and up. Please register before attending, by calling 770-413- 2020.This class is only open to the first five participants. 
•    1:30-2:15 pm: Hurray for Spring! Storytime for 3-5 year olds. 

Redan-Trotti
Wednesday, April 27, 2011:
•    Building blocks, 10-10:45 am, for babies up to two years old;
•    Time for Tales, 11:15-noon, for ages 3-5 years.

Hours of operation: All three Stone Mountain-area libraries are closed on Sunday; open from 10 am until 8 pm Monday and Tuesday, and from 10 am until 5 pm Wednesday through Saturday.
