2. RSVP deadline: Today at 2 p.m. is the deadline to RSVP for the, taking place Dec. 5 at The Conference Center at Georgia Piedmont, 496 N. Indian Creek Drive in Clarkston.
DeKalb County CEO Burrell Ellis will be the keynote speaker. Member pricing, $40; member pricing at the door and general admission pricing, $45.
3. The weather: Sunny, high of 65 -- in other words, awesome -- and low of 36 tonight.
4. Breakfast with Santa: On Saturday, Dec. 3, from 8-10 a.m., the first 150 children will get a free breakfast with Santa at the Piccadilly at The Gallery at South DeKalb, 2801 Candler Road in Decatur. There will also be balloon-making and story-telling (and Patch will soon post more local opportunities to meet Santa, so stay tuned!).
5. Saturday: If you missed last week's merry old-fashioned Christmas celebration in Stone Mountain Village, you can catch some holiday spirit just a sleigh ride away in Lilburn at its , Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m., at the corner of Church and Main streets.
