The weather: Sunshine, with a high of about 93 degrees. The low tonight will be about 72. 

Georgia Military College: Classes started Monday at the GMC Stone Mountain extension in the village, and today is the last day to register for this term. There's no tuition this term for 2011 high school grads who apply for state and federal aid, even if they don't qualify for the aid.

45 days until autumn: It's time to think about planting fall veggies, anything from (more) cucumbers and yellow squash to greens and beans. Check the August gardening calendar from the University of Georgia Extension.
