Five Things to Know Today, April 15

Woohoo, it's Friday!

It's Friday, finally. Here are five things to know as you head into the day and the weekend.

The IRS and you, revised: Tax day has been postponed until Monday, April 18, due to a Washington, D.C. holiday. Good news for all of us procrastinators out there.

The weather: Highs will be in the upper 70s, but there's a chance of rain in the morning and of thunderstorms in the afternoon.  Check the upper righthand side of your Patch page for the current temperature and for an extended forecast.

Sports: Stone Mountain High School plays Tucker in soccer at the North DeKalb field at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Stephenson plays Marin Luther King Jr. at 6 p.m. Stone Mountain High School plays St. Pius (away) at 5 p.m.

This day in history: The Titanic went down in the early hours of April 15, 1912, after striking an iceberg shortly before midnight. Ears, eyes and nose above water this morning?  That's a good start. Have a wonderful weekend.
