1. Veterans Day closings/observances. All DeKalb County library branches will be closed Sunday, Nov. 11 and Monday, Nov. 12. Trash normally collected by DeKalb County Sanitation on Monday will be picked up on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

3. Georgia High School Graduation Test for Stephenson High School students is Nov.12-16.
4. Meet the Smurfs Live! Those lovable blue creatures come to Mall at Stonecrest, 2929 Turner Hill Rd., Lithonia, on Saturday, Nov. 17 at noon.
5. Movie, "Madagascar 3" showing at Stonecrest library on Nov. 16, 2-4 p.m. The library is located at 3123 Klondike Rd., Lithonia.
