Stone Mountain Community Garden at VFW Park - Workday

The VFW Park Stone Mountain Community Garden will hold its first 2012 workday this Saturday, March 17th, starting at 9:00 a.m.  We will start with a pot-luck breakfast, and will then get to work!  We are a friendly group of gardeners - some expert, some novice - all learning together.  We provide 4' x 12' individual plots - for a fee of $25 per year.  Some of us also garden in a 3000 square foot Pantry Garden, which provides produce for the Local Food Pantry.  Since last April, when we started at this site, we have provided the Pantry with over 1000 pounds of vegetables.  We hope to do more this year!  If you would like to garden with us, or just see what we are about, please join us on Saturday.  You'll be glad you did - and we'll be happy to meet you!
