DeKalb County Animal Services announces SNIP DeKalb, which provides free spay/neuters, including vaccinations, for low income pet owners who reside in DeKalb County and cannot afford to pay for a spay or neuter themselves. Fill out the application and send it in. When approved, a voucher for the free spay/neuter and instructions will be mailed out.

This week's pets: O Romeo, Romeo wherefore art thou Romeo? He's right here at the Dekalb shelter waiting for a loving family to take him home! Romeo is a one-year-old Plott Hound mix. He is kenneled with other dogs and is doing well with them. Romeo is cute as a button and very friendly; just look at the smile on his face. Come see Romeo; he loves company and you'll love him.

Gold Rings is a three-year-old male Bulldog mix. That's such a great age! Think about how calm he will be, but still young enough to have plenty of fun and play. Gold Rings has a golden personality. He gets along well with other dogs and could be a wonderful companion for your furry friend. He only weighs 40 lbs; just the right size to cuddle with while eating popcorn and watching a movie. Gold Rings is such a sweetheart and longs for a home and a new life. Please help him find it.

Adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming, microchip and heartworm test. Regular Fees: Dogs - $95 (dogs over 5 years old $40); Adoption to a person over 55 years old - $40.
