Wells Fargo Bank on Rockbridge Robbed
The robbery was the third at area Wells Fargo branches within the past month.
The Wells Fargo Bank at Rockbridge and U.S. Highway 78 was robbed Monday, the branch manager said.
The manager said the robbery took place inside the bank, with customers present. He would not provide more detail.
The robbery is at least the third at an area Wells Fargo in the past month. On June 13, a branch in Centerville was robbed and 10 days later, the Wells Fargo in Peachtree Corners was hit. The FBI said last month it believes those two armed robberies were committed by the same gunman.
