DockDogs World Championship Wild Card Event
When: July 27-29, 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.
Where: Memorial Lawn of Stone Mountain Park
Who go: It should be lots of fun to watch these agile and eager dogs, who are some of the top-ranked dogs in the sport, compete for a chance to qualify for the DockDogs® World Championship in Dubuque, Iowa, in November. Plus, guests can bring any dog over six months old to register and try dock diving!
Note: The event is free but there is a $10 parking fee to get in the park.
Back to School Bash
When: Saturday, July 28, from 6:30-8 p.m.
Where: Baptist church lawn in the City of Stone Mountain
Why go: Kids can have fun and get some free school supplies while they're at it. Radio Disney is scheduled to be there, too.
Movies on Main, "The Smurfs"
When: Saturday, July 28, 8-10:30 p.m., after the Back to School Bash. Movie begins at sundown.
Where: Baptist Church lawn, Stone Mountain Village (middle of town)
Why go: A free good time with the family.
Laughing Pizza
When: Saturday, July 28, 1 pm, 3 pm & 5 pm; Sunday, July 29, 2 pm, 4 pm, & 6pm
Where: Magnolia Theater, Stone Mountain Park
Why go: If you've got little ones and/or tune into PBS, chances are you've seen the fun family musical group Laughing Pizza. The group is making a special appearance at Stone Mountain Park's "Summer At The Rock." B98.5 FM will broadcast live from SMP on Saturday, July 28th with Kelly Stevens.
