Stone Mountain Man Killed in Wreck on I-285 Near Cascade Road
The driver, Gerald Askew, was killed early Saturday morning.
A woman told West Des Moines police the family of a man she'd had an affair with attacked her while she was shopping.

The AJC reports that an early Saturday morning car wreck took the life of a Stone Mountain man.
The driver was identified as Gerald Askew, 34.
The accident occurred on I-285 between Cascade Road and Mt. Gilead. According to an Atlanta Police Department spokesman quoted in the AJC, "the driver was traveling north on I-285 when he collided with the guardrail, re-entered the roadway and stopped in one of the lanes."
That is when a second car hit his vehicle, which police say then hit the driver, the article states.
