Stone Mountain and Lithonia Teachers of the Year
There will be a system-wide employee appreciation event in May.
Perhaps you've seen the marquees on several schools in our area, congratulating their teachers of the year. Here's a list of all the teachers of the year at Stone Mountain and Lithonia schools.
A spokeswoman with the DeKalb County School System said that next to be selected are those that applied for the regional honor. The finalist will be named May 17 at DCSS employee appreciation event, to be held at Lakeside High:

I applaud each teacher that was honored.What sacrifices they must be making in order to be able to overcome all the distractions that hinder our children from learning.May God continue to grace them and keep them, and may their good works become 'contagious' ,not only to other teachers, but to parents and administrators.
