Update: Ross Dress for Less is running television and online ads saying its new store in the Memorial Bend shopping center will open on Saturday, July 14.

A corporate spokesperson for Ross Dress For Less   confirmed that a lease has been signed for a store at the Memorial Bend shopping center in Stone Mountain, and that Ross is targetting the location's opening for later this year. 

The spokesperson said Ross typically hires 50 associates per store, for full time and part time positions. Check Ross' website for career opportunities.

The "Ross Dress for Less" sign is up at Memorial Bend shopping center on Memorial Drive, but the company has given no official opening date.

A person who works in the Pleasanton, Calif.-based company's real estate department told Patch that Ross was not allowed to say when the opening date is; she would only confirm that it has a store on Stone Mountain Highway. Two calls to the company's media relations person have not been returned.

Memorial Bend at 5152 Memorial Dr. also has another big anchor, Publix. According to the center's owner, the Bedrin Organization, the Ross space is 27,300 square feet; in total, Memorial Bend, listed as one of 12 centers in its portfolio, has a total of 177,292 square feet.

There is a Ross Dress for Less store at 5370 Stone Mountain Hwy. in Stone Mountain, a little more than seven miles away from the new location.
