The grand opening for three artists in Stone Mountain Village took place Saturday night.
There are new glass, metal and mosaic creations in Stone Mountain Village, thanks to three new artists who now have space on Main Street.
The grand opening for the galleries of the artists -- Michael Labbe-Webb, Christine Slocomb and Anita Jordan -- took place Saturday, Sept. 15, coiniciding with the evening's art stroll.
The artists are coming to Stone Mountain Village through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development-funded SMart Inc. program. Selected artists can work in low-cost studio and gallery space provided by Stone Mountain city, which pays for the spaces' utilities, according to the SMart Inc. web site.
The Art Stroll also included ART Station Galleries (at the main ART Station location at 5384 Manor Drive) and all five of the arts incubator galleries on Main Street and Mountain Street.
