The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that a 21-year-old man, DeAngelo Hickson, was shot Monday night at Mountain Crest Apartments on N. Hairston Road in unincorporated Stone Mountain.

The AJC article said DeKalb County Police are investigating the shooting, which occured around 10:20 p.m. According to the AJC, police found Hickson in the breezeway of an apartment building. He had a gunshot wound to the torso, the report said.

Police told the AJC that Hickson had been involved in an ongoing dispute with suspect Shaquell Heppard, 18.

According to police, Heppard shot Hickson before fleeing in a silver Chevrolet Impala, the AJC reported.

There is a warrant charging Heppard with murder, according to the AJC.
