An 18-year-old has been charged with murder in the March 12 shooting death of DeAngelo Hickson at the Mountain Crest Apartments in unincorporated Stone Mountain, according to an article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The newspaper, citing DeKalb County jail records, reports that Shaquell Heppard was arrested Friday afternoon by DeKalb Sheriff's deputies.

Hickson, 21, was found by police in an apartment building breezeway; he'd been shot in the torso, according to the AJC, which also reported that Hickson was taken to DeKalb Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The AJC said a DeKalb County police officer said Hickson had been involved in an ongoing dispute with Heppard. The officer told the AJC that Heppard shot Hickson, then took off in a  a silver Chevrolet Impala.
