Update: New Year's Eve is Almost Here!

Still undecided about what to do? Here are six picks for places to go in the Stone Mountain area. (Updates to add Village Corner.)

Still trying to decide what to do when the clock strikes 12? Stone Mountain Patch's got you covered on events right here in the area.

Jazz in the New Year with dinner: 9 p.m.-1 a.m, live jazz music with no cover charge, Village Corner German Restaurant and Bakery, 6655 James B. Rivers Rd., 770-498-0329. Guests get free party favors and champagne at midnight. The New Year's Eve specials include Oysters Helena, crab-stuffed trout and 1/2 duck in au jus. Reservations are recommended.

New Year's Rockabilly Eve: 9 p.m.-1 a.m. $10 per person or $15 per couple. Will Henry's Tavern, 1228 Rockbridge Rd. 770-279-9098. Lilburn-Stone Mountain bar Will's Tavern is having hors d'oeuvres, midnight champagne and party favors on the last day of 2010. While munching and sipping on drinks, enjoy local rockabilly/psychobilly band the Psycho Devilles as they take the stage. Ring in the New Year with some rock!

The Citywide Takeover: 8 p.m. $20 in advance. Echelon 3000, 1179 S Hairston Rd. 404-294-1820. This 21 and up event isn't kidding about its title: Echelon 3000, Taboo 2 Bistro in Sandy Springs and The Pearl in Atlanta are all teaming up for New Year's Eve. For the low price of $20, each ticket holder can get into all three clubs all night long. Each location will have different specials, but each club will have a $15,000 cash balloon drop and a free champagne toast. At Echelon, all ladies drink free until midnight. A business casual or festive attire is strictly enforced. Get tickets here.

Hairston's 17th Annual New Year's Eve Celebration: 8 p.m.-3 a.m. $20 general admission, $30 advance seating and $50 advance VIP seating. Hairston's, 1273 S Hairston Rd. 770-322-9988. Get ready for a balloon and confetti drop at this upscale nightclub of Stone Mountain. Party favors and bubbly toasts are on Hairston's agenda for the evening, not to mention a free "good luck" breakfast buffet available at 1 a.m, filled with grits, black-eyed peas, sausage, bacon and more. Call or visit the restaurant for tickets.

2011 New Year's Eve All Black Affair: 8 p.m. $10 general admission, $20 to skip the line. The Atrium, 5479 Memorial Dr. 404-298-6545. Live performances by Yung Chris, F.L.Y. and Travis Porter line up the midnight bash at The Atrium. Guests can even rock out and perform on stage when doors open at 8 p.m. or hang out in their six VIP sections and three party rooms. Champagne bottles are a bit pricey at $100 until midnight, but you can always grab something else from their five full-service bars.

New Year's Eve at Bev's Place: 7 p.m.-2 a.m. Free. Bev's Place, 1054 Main St. 770-469-7877. Have a relaxed but fun-filled introduction to 2011 at Bev's. Hats and other party favors will be passed out to guests who attend, and drink specials such as mimosas and free champagne are available, too. A DJ will play every hit that the audience requests, which is different than past years when the neighborhood bar would have live bands perform.
