Cat care: says it needs volunteers in its cat adoption room to help with tasks such as cleaning, feeding and socializing them. Volunteers need to be at least 15 and complete a short orientation before volunteering, according to AARF. Its address is 6570 James B Rivers Dr. Stone Mountain, 30083.

Donation Opportunities

Clean out your garage for pets: , 6570 James B Rivers Dr. in the city of Stone Mountain, is having a yard sale on Saturday, June 30 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and could use some items to sell. So clean out your garage or basement and bring in your "stuff" Thursday or Friday, from 10:30 a.m.-8 p.m., or Saturday morning between 8 and 9 a.m.

Deadline to Donate a Brick: If you want to donate a brick for the DeKalb County Public Library's engraved brick campaign, you'll need to order it by June 30.

The library system says engraved bricks are available for $100 each for a 4" X 8" brick in the library entry sidewalk at these branches: Hairston Crossing, Salem-Panola, Stonecrest and Tucker- Reid H. Cofer.

Personalized bricks can be inscribed with a patron's name, the name of a family, friend or company, or in honor or memory of a loved one.
