Georgia Perimeter College, the state's third-largest public college, plans layoffs of up to 280 people, according to media reports.
The job reductions affect 215 full-time employees and 67 part-time workers, Georgia Perimeter Interim President Rob Watts said in a campus-wide email. The college employs about 3,110 people.
The two-year school is trying to cope with what could be a $25 million deficit next year, the media reports say.
Georgia Perimeter's enrollment is about 27,000 students, and it has campuses in Alpharetta, Clarkston (near Stone Mountain), Covington, Decatur and Dunwoody.
