Updated: Grand Opening of Expanded 'Forever 21' at Stonecrest Expected in Early January

Forever 21 is expanding its presence at the Mall at Stonecrest and accepting job applications.

The clothing retailer already has a location at the mall, about 9,000 square feet, but is moving into space formerly occupied by Border's. The new store will be more than 20,000 square feet, said Don Bieler, the mall's director of marketing.

The anticipated grand opening of the newly expanded store is early January, Bieler said.

California-based Forever 21 opened its first store, called Fashion 21, in 1984 in Los Angeles. It describes its corporate culture this way on its website:
