Updated 5:28 p.m.: DeKalb County chief communications officer Burke Brennan tells Patch that a breach on S. Indian Creek Thursday afternoon that caused a water outage is now fixed. Only a couple of residences were affected, he said.
Brennan clarified information provided earlier that a contractor doing directional boring work in the area broke the water main. Brennan tells Patch it was a small line that was "compromised."
A contractor doing directional boring work along S. Indian Creek Dr. near Rowland Thursday afternoon caused a water main break after accidentally nipping a line, DeKalb county chief communications officer Burke Brennan told Patch.
"Water crews are on the scene, and they're going to be working as expeditiously as possible," he said.
The contracting work is part of a cell phone tower project.
