This is good to know, but it could be more helpful to put these reports in perspective. Are we trending up or down? How do we interpret this? Is there any relationship to other factors, like police staff, predictable seasonal fluctations or other things that a concerned citizen needs to know?
Perhaps a link to some tips from DeKalb's finest on protecting our homes and families would be useful.

Police tips on protecting our homes - great idea, Stacy! I can include either a link or some tips within the blotter.

Thank you :)
I think DeKalb offers Neighborhood Watch training on a semi-regular basis as well, and links to anything we can do to take control whenever possible would be greatly appreciated. The first steps to controlling crimes rest with all of us.
