Marriott Hotels & Resorts has named Robert Woolridge as General Manager of the Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort, an AAA Four Diamond resort located 16 miles from downtown Atlanta on the 3,200 acres of natural wooded beauty of Stone Mountain Park with recreational activities including championship golf, a spa and Stone Mountain Park attractions. 

Robert most recently served as General Manager of the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway hotel where he and his team have been recognized for outstanding work.  Robert is the recipient of the Marriott Leadership Excellence Award for his exceptional achievement in opening the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway in August 2010. During his 25 years with Marriott, Robert has held a variety of leadership positions including Area General Manager for the Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center, Atlanta Marriott Century Center, and Atlanta Marriott Suites Midtown as well as management positions with Marriott Hotels & Resorts in Philadelphia and Long Island. 

Robert is also active in local and national community organizations, serving as the immediate past Chairman of The Georgia Hospitality and Lodging Association Board of Directors, the American Hotel and Lodging Association Board of Directors, the College Park Destination Marketing Organization and the Board of Directors for the Center for Working Families. Robert is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts/Amherst.
