GFWC Stone Mountain Woman's Club Members Serve 50 at Ronald McDonald House
Members of the GFWC Stone Mountain Woman’s Club have been hard at work with volunteer activities this summer although the Club does not hold regular monthly meetings during the summer. The General Federation of Women’s Clubs is an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. GFWC members are community leaders who work locally to bring about local and global change.
In July, several club members prepared and served dinner to approximately 50 individuals staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Atlanta while their children receive treatment for serious illnesses at local hospitals. This has become a regular community service program of the Club, under the leadership of Terry Ingwersen and Kate Graham, Co-Chairs of Home Life.
